Billing Terms
In plain words
What you pay. You pay your first month when you sign up. That payment counts as your first month of live service. Your monthly plan then runs from go-live, and we charge your saved card once a month, starting one month after go-live.
Your term. You choose 6 or 12 months, and you pay monthly. After the term, the plan continues month to month at the same price.
Cancelling. Email support@joinsites.com or use chat. We confirm in writing. If you cancel during your term, it ends when the term ends and you keep paying monthly until then. There is no early-ending fee.
Refunds. Full refund if we cannot serve you before work starts, or if we charged you in error. After work starts, fees are not refundable unless we agree in writing or the law requires it. We review every request.
If a payment fails. We email you on day 0, try again around day 3 and day 6, and may suspend your website from day 7. Paying restores it promptly, with no fee. We do not end the service for nonpayment before day 60, and not until at least 7 days after we send you a Termination Notice.
What we never charge. No setup fee, late fee, interest, collection costs, restoration fee, or hourly charge.
1. About this document
1.1 Who and what. These Billing Terms are part of your agreement with Bureau Enterprise LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, which provides its services under the name "Sites" ("Sites"). "You" is the customer named in your order. They cover price, taxes, the signup payment, monthly billing, the term, your card authorization, refunds, cancelling, failed payments, disputes and price changes.
1.2 Your order and the other documents. Your order (the online signup and checkout, and the Order Form) sets your plan, term and price. This document governs the rest of billing. If documents conflict, the order in section 2.3 of the Customer Agreement applies.
1.3 One website, one subscription. Each website Sites manages is its own subscription, with its own plan, term, price, signup payment and monthly charge. Every rule here applies to each website separately. A failed payment on one website does not suspend another.
1.4 Definitions.
Go-live is the day Sites publishes your website on your domain (or other agreed address) after you have approved it, and marks it live.
Signup Payment is the first monthly plan payment, collected at signup. It is not a setup fee.
Term is the 6 or 12 months you chose. It starts at go-live.
Account credit is an amount applied against what you owe Sites. It is money, not the monthly update allowance described in the Scope Appendix.
2. Price and taxes
2.1 Monthly price. The monthly price depends on the plan and the term you choose. Current published prices, in U.S. dollars:
Plan | 12-month term | 6-month term |
|---|---|---|
Essential | $199 per month | $239 per month |
Professional | $349 per month | $419 per month |
Premium | $549 per month | $659 per month |
The price shown at checkout and in your order is the price that applies to you. All amounts are in U.S. dollars.
2.2 Taxes. Prices do not include taxes. You are responsible for applicable taxes, duties and government charges, other than taxes on Sites' income. Where Sites must collect tax, it is shown at checkout and on your invoices. If you claim an exemption, send your exemption documents to support@joinsites.com. Sites may decline documents that are missing, expired or invalid.
2.3 Your price is held. The price in your order stays the same for your term and after it. Sites does not increase it without your agreement (see section 12). A change to published prices for new customers does not change the price you hold.
3. Your first month: paid at signup
3.1 Pay at signup. You pay the first month of your plan at signup, before Sites starts onboarding or work. There is no setup fee. The amount due at signup is your first monthly payment plus any add-ons you approve at that time and any tax.
3.2 It counts as your first live month. The Signup Payment pays for your first month of service after go-live (month 1 of your term). Month 1 is charged exactly once: at signup, or, in the cases below, at go-live. Never twice and never zero.
3.3 Refunded or lost first month. If, before go-live, the Signup Payment is refunded in full, or is reversed because a card dispute is decided against Sites, month 1 has not been paid. Sites charges it at go-live and tells you the amount first. If a card dispute about the Signup Payment is still open, Sites may postpone go-live until it is decided. If there was no Signup Payment, the same rule applies: month 1 is charged at go-live.
3.4 Partial refund. A partial refund of the Signup Payment reduces what you paid. It does not change when monthly billing starts, and month 1 is not charged again at go-live. If you cancel before go-live and Sites agrees to refund part of the Signup Payment, the refund is for the part of the fee not yet earned. What Sites keeps pays for the work done and the capacity reserved before you cancelled. It is not a payment for a month of service.
4. Your monthly plan from go-live
4.1 When monthly billing starts. Monthly billing starts at go-live and not before. The first monthly charge is one month after go-live, then on the same day each month. A launch target, a delay or a dispute about timing does not start billing early.
4.2 What you are told. At or before go-live, Sites tells you the monthly amount and the date of the first monthly charge. You never learn either for the first time from a charge.
4.3 Scope settled at go-live. If what Sites built differs from what you paid for at signup, because of changes during the build or add-ons you approved, the difference is settled at go-live and Sites explains it on request. An underpayment is collected with the first monthly charge. An overpayment becomes an account credit against future charges, not a refund. Month 1 is never re-priced.
4.4 No saved card does not stop go-live. A missing or unusable saved card does not prevent Sites from marking your website live. The first monthly invoice is issued and collected, and if it is not paid, section 10 applies.
4.5 Delays. A delay on your side (content, access, approvals, domain readiness, feedback) moves the related dates and does not by itself make the Signup Payment refundable. If Sites causes a delay, Sites may offer a make-good under section 13.
5. The term
5.1 6 or 12 months. You choose the term at signup. Sites does not sell a 24-month term. A 12-month term is your Signup Payment plus 11 monthly charges. A 6-month term is your Signup Payment plus 5 monthly charges.
5.2 The term is a commitment, billed monthly. If you cancel during your term, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the term and monthly billing continues until then (section 9). Sites does not charge an early-ending fee and does not bill the remaining months as a lump sum. Sites may agree an earlier end date in writing.
5.3 After the term. The service does not stop and does not renew into a new fixed term. Billing continues month to month at the same monthly price, on the same day. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the month you have paid for.
6. Your card authorization
This section is what you agree to when you tick the box at checkout. The checkout screen shows the summary in 6.1 next to the pay button.
6.1 What you agree to.
By paying, you agree that Sites (Bureau Enterprise LLC) will charge your card today for your first month, the amount shown at checkout plus any tax. We will also save your card and charge it again, without you being present, on the same day each month once your website goes live: the monthly price shown at checkout plus any tax, for the 6- or 12-month term you chose, and then month to month at the same price until you cancel. We will charge extras only if you have approved them, such as add-ons or extra updates, and we will tell you the amount first. Your term is a commitment: if you cancel during it, you keep paying monthly until the term ends, with no early-ending fee. After the term, you can cancel at the end of any paid month. To cancel, email support@joinsites.com or use chat. We will email you these terms and how to cancel. [ ] I agree and authorize these charges.
6.2 What the authorization covers. You authorize Sites and its payment processor (Stripe) to:
charge the Signup Payment;
save your card and charge the monthly price after go-live, and month 1 at go-live where section 3.3 applies;
charge add-ons, migration expansion, extra mailboxes or storage, extra updates and other scoped work, each only after you have approved it, and tax where it applies;
try a failed payment again and send payment reminders as section 10 describes;
collect an amount you owe under an approved settlement.
6.3 Extras need your approval first. Before charging anything that is not already fixed in your order, Sites tells you the amount, what it is for and when it will be charged, and charges your card only after you approve. Sites does not sell time by the hour. Sites never charges for extra updates without asking first, and there is no automatic top-up. Migration expansion is $25 per month for each block of 10 pages, on both terms. Extra mailboxes, extra mailbox storage and email migration are charged at the rates published on the pricing page or, if none is published there, at the rate Sites confirms to you in writing before adding them.
6.4 What we never charge. Sites does not charge a setup fee, late fee, interest, attorney fees, collection costs, a fee to restore a website after nonpayment, chargeback penalties, hourly charges, or an accelerated or lump-sum amount for the rest of your term. This list can change only by a written document you have accepted.
6.5 Your card and your records. Keep a valid card on file and your billing contact current. Your card can be updated or replaced at any time through the billing portal, which lets you update your payment method and view invoices and receipts. If you replace it, this authorization applies to the new card. Revoking the authorization or removing your card does not end your term or the fees owed under it. Cancel under section 9.
6.6 Business use and authority. You confirm that you are buying for business use, not personal, family or household use. The person who accepts these terms confirms they can bind you and authorize payment. If the card belongs to someone else, you confirm that person has agreed to its use.
6.7 Billing portal and processor screens. Payment screens, invoices and portal buttons of Stripe do not change these terms.
7. Add-ons and plan changes
7.1 Add-ons. An add-on, extra update purchase, migration extra or other scoped work is charged only after you approve it (6.3). Approval can be given in writing, including by email or in the checkout flow.
7.2 Plan changes. An upgrade, downgrade or other change to your plan needs your agreement in writing, and Sites states the date it takes effect and its effect on your price and monthly allowance before it does. A plan change changes the monthly update allowance from that date forward. It does not change completed work, updates already used, or unpaid invoices. If a downgrade would leave you with more mailboxes than the new plan includes, the extra mailboxes keep working and are charged at the extra-mailbox rate, and Sites shows you the exact monthly difference before the downgrade takes effect.
8. Refunds
8.1 The refund rule. Sites refunds a payment in full if Sites declines you, or cannot serve you, before Sites begins onboarding or work. Sites refunds any charge made in error, including a duplicate, mistaken or unauthorized charge. Once Sites has begun onboarding or work, fees are not refundable, except where Sites agrees in writing or the law requires a refund. Any partial refund Sites agrees to follows section 3.4.
8.2 Requests are reviewed. You may ask for a refund at any time by writing to support@joinsites.com. Sites reviews every request. A review does not by itself create a right to a refund beyond 8.1.
8.3 How refunds are paid. A refund goes back to the original payment method where possible.
9. Cancelling
9.1 How to cancel. Email support@joinsites.com or chat with us on our website. You may also send the request to legal@joinsites.com. Nobody will ask you to call or to give a reason. Sites confirms your cancellation and its effective date in writing within 2 business days. The effective date follows this section whether or not the confirmation has arrived. We plan to add online cancelling with the customer app.
9.2 During your term. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the term. Monthly billing continues until then. There is no early-ending fee and no lump sum. Sites may agree an earlier end date in writing.
9.3 After your term. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for.
9.4 Before go-live. The term has not started. The refund rules in section 8 apply, and a partial refund follows 3.4. A cancellation before go-live takes effect when Sites confirms it in writing.
9.5 What stays owed. Amounts billed before the cancellation takes effect stay owed. After any ending, your content copy and your mailboxes follow the Master Services Agreement (a copy of your content on request for 60 days; mailboxes kept 30 days). A transfer of your website build follows the Ownership Transfer Terms, which need your account to be in good standing.
10. If a payment fails
10.1 The schedule. Days are counted from the day a payment first fails (day 0). This is the one schedule. Nothing elsewhere in your agreement shortens it.
When | What happens |
|---|---|
Day 0 | The payment fails. Sites emails the business contact address on your account: what failed, how much is owed and how to pay. |
About day 3 | Sites and its payment processor try the payment again. Another email follows. |
About day 6 | A third attempt. Sites sends the Final Notice: the website will be suspended the next day unless the overdue amount is paid. |
From day 7 | Sites may suspend your website. Visitors see a holding page. Your email keeps working. |
Any day before termination, on payment | Sites restores your website promptly, as it was, at the same domain. No request and no fee. |
Day 30 | Your mailboxes become receive-only: they keep receiving email and stop sending it. Paying the overdue amount restores sending promptly. |
At least 7 days before termination | Sites sends the Termination Notice to the business contact email on your account. It states the termination date and how to pay to keep the service. |
No earlier than day 60 | If the overdue amount is still unpaid, Sites may terminate the service for that website on the date in the Termination Notice. |
10.2 How to read the table.
"About" days allow for processing time. Sites may act later than the table, but not earlier, except under 10.5.
A notice is given when Sites sends it to the business contact email on your account. Keep that address current. A notice counts even if it bounces.
Every reminder before suspension states the amount, how to pay and the date from which the website may be suspended.
Sites does not terminate for nonpayment until at least 7 days after the Termination Notice was sent, and never before day 60. Sites may hold a termination to a later date. It does not terminate a customer who has paid.
The payment processor's own messages and statuses do not change this table.
10.3 Suspension is not termination. Suspension takes the website offline. Your agreement, your term and your monthly obligation continue, and amounts already billed stay owed. Nothing is deleted. Sites does not describe a suspended account as terminated.
10.4 Termination. Termination ends the service for that website. Amounts that became due before termination remain owed. After termination, your content copy and mailboxes follow 9.5. Sites does not send an account to collections as a standard step.
10.5 Faster action. Sites may act faster than the table only for fraud, a security risk, unlawful use, or an acceptable-use violation under the Master Services Agreement. Ordinary nonpayment is never one of these.
10.6 Pausing the schedule. Sites may pause its payment reminders and the later steps in the table, for example during a payment-provider outage. A pause does not stop a payment you make. Paying still restores your website. When a pause ends, steps that came due in the meantime may then take effect. A dispute or billing question does not pause the schedule by itself.
10.7 If the problem is a mistake. If you tell Sites that a charge is wrong, Sites reviews it and replies in writing. If Sites agrees the charge was made in error, Sites refunds it, treats it as never unpaid, and restores your website promptly if it was suspended over that charge. If Sites does not agree and the charge stays unpaid, the schedule continues.
11. Disputes and chargebacks
11.1 Talk to us first. If you see a charge you do not recognize or think is wrong, email support@joinsites.com straight away. We would rather fix it than have it reversed by your bank.
11.2 Chargebacks. If you dispute a charge with your bank, Sites may respond to the dispute with the records of your order and of the terms you accepted. The result follows section 3.3 if the disputed payment is the Signup Payment before go-live. After go-live, a reversed payment is a failed payment and section 10 applies from the date it is reversed.
11.3 No fee for disputing. Sites does not charge you a fee because you disputed a charge.
11.4 No waiver. Replying to a dispute, giving evidence, giving an account credit or accepting a settlement does not waive other rights or duties unless the written reply says so.
12. Price changes
12.1 Updates to these terms. Sites may update the Agreement documents with 30 days' email notice. An update never increases your fees or the price you hold without your agreement (Master Services Agreement, updating section). If an update materially reduces your rights, you may cancel with effect from the end of the month you have paid for, without the commitment for the rest of your term.
12.2 Your price during your term. Your monthly price does not change during your selected term.
13. Goodwill: account credits
13.1 How Sites makes things right. Where Sites decides to give you something extra, for a delay it caused, a settled difference at go-live, or a goodwill gesture, it gives an account credit against what you owe. Where Sites agrees in writing, it may instead refund an amount under 3.4 or 8.1. Sites does not give free months, trial periods or term extensions.
13.2 What an account credit is. An account credit has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash. It does not change your term, your price or your payment dates unless the written record says so.
14. Your responsibilities
14.1 Your duties. You agree to:
give accurate billing information and keep a valid card on file;
keep your billing contact email current, because notices go there;
read invoices and payment notices when you receive them;
tell Sites promptly about any billing error or charge you do not recognize.
14.2 Contact. Billing and support: support@joinsites.com, or chat. Formal notices to Sites: legal@joinsites.com.
