Something is missing from my migrated site

Troubleshooting

Common launch and migration issues

Updated

Share Article

If something looks missing after your site move, that does not always mean something went wrong.

Who this is for

  • customers checking their site after launch

  • customers who expected to see a page or piece of content that looks different or missing

  • customers who want to understand what to do next

What this article covers

  • why something may appear missing

  • how to think about phased migration

  • what to do if you need clarification

Not every old page appears in the same form on the new site

Migration is not a simple copy of the old site.

Some content may be:

  • rebuilt directly into the new site

  • merged into a stronger page

  • redirected to a better destination

  • retired intentionally

  • still in progress as part of the work between Launch and Move-in Complete

That means “missing” can sometimes mean “handled differently,” not “forgotten.”

Launch and Move-in Complete matter here

If your site has already launched but has not yet reached Move-in Complete, some in-scope migration work may still be in progress.

That is one of the first things to check when something looks missing after launch.

What to do next

If something looks missing:

  • review your migration progress in the dashboard

  • check whether the page may have been merged, redirected, or planned for later completion

  • submit a request if you need clarification or think something was missed

FAQ

What should I do if I think something was missed?

Submit a request so the item can be reviewed in context.

How do I know if something is still in progress?

Check your dashboard milestones and migration progress first.

Was this page supposed to be moved?

That depends on how it was handled in the migration plan. Some pages are rebuilt directly, while others are merged, redirected, retired, or completed later in scope.
